Veronica Green is a New Zealand-born contemporary artist based in Venice, Italy. Her work has been presented during multiple Venice Biennale periods and in museum, institutional, and international gallery exhibitions across Europe, Asia, and New Zealand. Known for her triple-scene painting technique integrating natural light, ultraviolet light, and phosphorescent materials, Green explores perception, identity, and psychological transformation through light-responsive surfaces.

From Where I Stand

Venice Art Projects, Venice, Italy

Presented during the 60th Venice Biennale, From Where I Stand explored identity through large-scale abstract paintings activated across three light environments. The exhibition examined the questions “Who are we?” and “What are we?” through Green’s signature multi-scenario technique. Featured in Venezia Today and Contemporary Hum.

10 Minute Window

A solo exhibition presented during the 59th Venice Biennale period, 10 Minute Window introduced Green’s triple-scene methodology to an international audience. The exhibition integrated phosphorescent and fluorescent materials, revealing distinct visual states under shifting light conditions.

In this solo exhibition at Palazzo delle Prigioni, presented during the Venice Biennale period, Green examined the quiet power of empathy and human connection. In this solo exhibition at Spazio 996/A, Venice, Green explored fear, vulnerability, and the confrontation of the unknown. Through her triple scene painting technique integrating natural light, ultraviolet light, and phosphorescent materials, the works transformed between visibility and obscurity, shifting with the viewer’s environment.

The exhibition examined how acceptance of uncertainty becomes a catalyst for inner strength, positioning light not only as material, but as metaphor for resilience and psychological clarity.

Worlds
