White Cloud, Golden Horizons

Solo Exhibition

Black Asterisk Gallery, Auckland, New Zealand

3 December 2015 - 13 February 2016

White Cloud, Golden Horizons brings together a body of work that explores atmosphere, distance, and the shifting nature of perception.

Across the paintings, landscapes unfold without fixed boundaries. Horizons dissolve into fields of colour, and forms hover between presence and disappearance. White emerges not as emptiness, but as a space of suspension—holding light, memory, and the possibility of transition.

Gold operates as both material and threshold. It reflects, obscures, and transforms, marking moments where the visible world begins to shift into something less certain and more expansive.

Through layered surfaces and evolving light, the works resist a single viewpoint. Instead, they invite movement—through space, through time, and through multiple states of seeing.
