Inside Me I Soar
Solo Exhibition
Galleria Il Serraglio, Florence, Italy
11 October - 11 November 2008
Inside Me I Soar presents an early body of work in which Veronica Green explores the relationship between inner experience and imagined space.
Across the exhibition, figures move through symbolic landscapes shaped by memory, intuition, and emotional reflection. These environments are not fixed locations, but psychological terrains—spaces where scale shifts and boundaries dissolve, allowing moments of vulnerability, aspiration, and transformation to coexist.
Recurring motifs of elevation, flight, and suspension suggest a desire to move beyond limitation. Yet this sense of ascent remains internal rather than physical, unfolding within the self as a process of growth and awareness.
The works draw on a visual language influenced by storytelling and personal mythology, where each element functions as a fragment of a larger, open narrative. Meaning is not prescribed, but discovered through engagement and reflection.
Inside Me I Soar marks an early articulation of Green’s interest in layered realities—where what is seen is only one part of a deeper, evolving experience.
