Somewhere Under the Rainbow

Solo Exhibition

Movimento Arte Contemporanea Gallery, Milan, Italy

31 March 2011 - 13 May 2011

Somewhere Under the Rainbow brings together a series of works inspired by architecture, memory, and personal mythology.Across the exhibition, Veronica Green constructs imagined environments where castles, towers, and fragile structures emerge within layered landscapes.

These forms suggest spaces of refuge—places associated with protection, intimacy, and emotional grounding—while remaining open, shifting, and subtly unstable.Through a symbolic visual language, Green weaves together colour, familiar motifs, animals, and fragments of folklore. These elements do not resolve into fixed narratives, but instead create a field of associations, inviting the viewer to navigate the work through their own memories and perceptions. The exhibition reflects on the idea of the “unattainable”—that which appears distant or idealised.

Rather than existing beyond reach, these spaces are reimagined as internal landscapes: constructed, revisited, and ultimately accessible.Somewhere Under the Rainbow becomes a quiet exploration of longing, protection, and the ways we build meaning within the worlds we inhabit.
