“Safe Yourself” is an exhibition exploring identity and the tension between self-perception and external perception. It ties into the Biennale’s theme, “Foreigners Everywhere,” with a focus on the foreigner within—the parts of ourselves that feel unfamiliar, particularly the discrepancy between how we see ourselves and how others perceive us. Green’s contribution to this theme is expressed through two major works: one abstract and one figurative. These paintings represent a dialogue between the conscious and unconscious self. The abstract piece delves into the complexities of internal, often subconscious identity, while the figurative painting offer a more outward-facing, literal interpretation of self, representing how we project ourselves to the world. Together, these works create a compelling narrative about the multifaceted nature of identity and self-representation.
Small Acts of Kindess (third scene)
Green presents us with one of her renowned jumping series 'Small Acts of Kindness,' this work was exhibited at Palazzo degli Prigioni, Venice, Italy. In the second scene, her new style emerges, marked by majestic highlighted cascades. This innovative technique of silky liquid imbues the piece with an ethereal sense of softness and wonder.

The boy's leap across the platforms symbolises the support he finds amid the turmoils of his experiences. The flowers, depicted with symbolic strength, anchor the painting, granting the boy the confidence to continue his journey.

At its core, this work underscores the vital importance of support from one's surroundings, illustrating how acts of kindness can cultivate an environment where kindness is reciprocated.
'Chromatic Identity' is a painting inspired by Ecological Valence Theory (EVT), exploring how colours evoke personal experiences and emotional responses. Using abstraction and a diverse palette of 20 different colors, the artwork invites viewers to connect with their own identities through their individual associations with color.
